Culicoides buettikeri Boorman 1989: 179. TL Oman
Diagnosis and Notes
The wing is dark greyish, with a
number of pale spots disposed as in the figure below. The second radial cell
is dark and the pale spots in r5, m1 and m2 do not reach the wing margin The
female AR is0.95-0.97; the SD is 3, 11-14. The male genitalia are as shown;
the aedeagus fairly narrow, the ventral root of the basistyle short and the
ninth sternite membrane bare.
