Diagnosis and Notes
A member of the subgenus
Culicoides; The second radial cell in a pale spot, no dark spot in the
cubital cell, and a pale spot at the wing margin at the apex of vein m1. The
male genitalia typical of C. (Culicoides), the posterior margin of the ninth
tergite rounded with a deep central notch, and the inner aspect of the
basistyle with a line of stout hairs.
