Diagnosis and Notes

A small yellowish midge with unmarked wings; the female AR is 1.0-1.35, and the SD is 3, 5-14. The male is unusual in that the antenna has a much reduced plume, with sensilla as in the female. The male genitalia are distinctive, the ninth tergite tapering posteriorly and with a deep median cleft; the aedeagus triangular, the parameres short and joined at their base, the ninth sternite membrane spiculate.
