Diagnosis and Notes
A small yellowish midge with unmarked
wings; the female AR is 1.24-1.28 and the SD is 3-14. There are two almost
spherical spermathecae and the third palp segment is moderately swollen, with
a large shallow sensory pit. The male genitalia with the parameres slender,
curved outwards at the tips, the aedeagus triangular, the ventral roots of
the basistyles long and pointed, the ninth sternite membrane bare.
The wing is not illustrated; the figure of the male genitalia is from Boorman
(1988).
