Diagnosis and Notes
A medium-sized species with a
distinct line of pale spots across the middle of the wing, from just beyond
the second radial cell to the cubital cell. The female AR is 1.0-1.08 and the
SD is 3,8-14 with occasionally sensilla also on 7. The male genitalia have
the ninth tergite long, with prominent lateral processes; the parameres long
and tapering, and the ninth sternite membrane bare. This seems to be one of a
complex of closely related species; see also sahariensis and bahrainensis.
The figures are from Glukhova (1989).
