Diagnosis and Notes
A variable species, usually with only two pale wing spots, one over R-M and the other just distal to the second radial cell, which is dark; but the wing markings are very variable and occasionally there are pale spots also in cells m1, m2, cu and an. The male genitalia are almost identical to those of others of the subgenus. AR 1.04-1.25, SD 3-7,9,11-14; there is a single large shallow sensory pit on the third segment of the palp, and a single spermatheca. The figures of the wing and of the male genitalia are from Campbell & Pelham-Clinton (1960).
