Diagnosis and Notes
This has been confused by several authors with peregrinus Kieffer, a species of the Oriental region; included by Glukhova in the subgenus Culicoides but differing from others in many respects. See Wirth & Hubert (1961) for an account of both these species. The figures are from Glukhova (1989).
