Diagnosis and Notes
The wing is greyish, almost featureless
save for a vague pale spot below the first radial cell and over the
cross-vein, and another small spot just beyond the second radial cell. The
female AR is 0.96- 1.03 and the SD is 3-14. The third segment of the palp is
swollen with a deep, conical sensory pit. The male genitalia are distinctive;
the ninth tergite broad, narrowing posteriorly with prominent, divergent
processes, the parameres tapering, bent outwards at their tips, the ninth
sternite membrane spiculate.
The figure of the male genitalia is from Boorman (1989); that of the wing
from Chaker (1981).
