Remm in Remm & Zhogolev 1968: 836. TL Ukraine
(Remm 1968: 836 (509). ♂, ♀, desc, figs)
(Kremer et al 1973: 66. Notes, figs, key)
(Glukhova 1989: 284. ♂, ♀, notes, figs)
Diagnosis and Notes
This seems to be a variable
species; there are two prominent pale spots on the costa; one just beyond the
second radial cell, the other extending from the junction of the cross-vein
upwards to the costa; an elongated streak just below this to half-way along
cell m2; one in the anal cell; one at the base of cell m1 and another in the
cubital cell. These combined give the appearance of two bands of spots across
the wing. In addition, there may be plae spots at the wing margin in cells
r5, m1 and m2 (when it resembles duddingstoni), or these may be
absent. The mesonotum has blackish dots. The female AR is 1.12-1.25; the SD
3-14. Male genitalia very like those of duddingstoni, but the membrane of
the ninth sternite is bare and the posterior margin of the ninth tergite has
a shallow median notch.
The figures are from Glukhova (1989).
